Abstrak

This research aims to examine how corporate governance contributes to the financial stability of a business entity in the face of crisis, with a case study of Sriwijaya Air. The approach used is qualitative in nature with a desk study method and secondary document analysis, including financial reports, media publications, and official company reports. The main findings show that weak governance practices, especially in the aspects of transparency, management oversight, and organizational structure, contribute significantly to the decline in the company's financial performance and competitiveness. This research is inspired by ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) studies that show that good governance improves reputation, operational efficiency, and stakeholder trust. Thus, effective governance is not only an internal control tool, but also a strategic instrument in maintaining business sustainability in the air transportation sector. The results of this study are expected to be taken into consideration for regulators and airline management to strengthen the governance system as a mitigation measure against the risk of financial crisis.
